Review - The Creature from Jekyll Island?

Welcome, to The GFC Product Reviews.1) It was one year ago that I purchased and began reading this popular book entitled The Creature from Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin. 2) I have since looked into and through the pages of The Creature often. The Creature is ranked highly in Amazon.com, has become a default text for people interested in banking and the global financial crisis, and The Creature has been top selling for many years. It could not be this special, The Creature from Jekyll Island, could it? Here is my review. I Click here for more information on The Creature from Jekyll Island
1 - I Thought I Probably Would not Read It, Yet I Purchased The Creature from Jekyll Island3) I first heard about this book from a radio host. I was asking the host and his guest about the financial crisis and particularly, about the federal reserve bank - the Fed. 4) The radio host suggested I read a book entitled The Creature from Jekyll Island - and emphasized his high recommendation. 5) Upon hearing the title, I visualized an island with a single steep plateau. Atop the plateau is a rectangular building composed of hard, grey, brittle cement. Surrounding the entire island is a thick, smoky and wet mist. 6) Having this image in mind, I wrote the name of the book down - thinking The Creature from Jekyll Island would be some science-fiction tale with little relevance to the federal reserve bank. I thought I would skim through its pages, store it away, and possibly not pick it up again. 7) Soon after receiving the recommendation from the radio host, I received a coupon for Borders book store in my email. I figured I could use this coupon to purchase this Creature - and I did. I had received numerous coupons from Borders before and had not used them, so I was glad to actually have an opportunity to use a coupon. 8) When I found the book on a shelf in Borders, it was the only copy remaining and commanded as much space as two regular books. I had not read an entire book of what appeared to be such massive size, ever before. I grabbed The Creature, placed The Creature on the checkout counter and the cashier commented, "What are Ron Paul and Willie Nelson doing on the back of the same book?" I thought I might finish the book in a year, if I even began reading. 9) I purchased The Creature from Jekyll Island.
2 - I Looked Into Its Pages -10) Within the first pages of The Creature from Jekyll Island, the author G. Edward Griffin states bluntly, "Thick books can be intimidating." Amused and somewhat relaxed after reading this statement, I decided to read the entire book, even if only one page at a time. 10) I figured I would not understand it. I figured it would be dull. I figured it would be dry. I figured it would be long and tedious. I figured the most pleasure that would come from this book would be that interesting pleasure of making a purchase. I figured it would reside on my shelf and eventually become a gift or a sale on Ebay.
3 - Interesting…11) I was working through the introduction for quite a while. At the onset of The Creature is a whimsical dialogue between two Englishmen about the strangeness of central banking in England. The banking terminology was new and the speakers were using British words, not the English I was accustomed to. Also, I was traveling and reading in between flights, further, I was leaving from an eventful trip and this combination was holding my attention. 12) From that point forward, I made a routine of reading a few pages or sections every morning - I was determined to read into every page of this thick book. 13) Although most of what I read was unfamiliar and did not sink in, I sensed I was reading words of great substance and particularly Griffin's analysis of the relation between the history of money and what is becoming of global politics. 14) Griffin used several hundreds of pages to frame a single, sharp point - banking, and its tool - money - are being used to accumulate global wealth into fewer and fewer hands and with it - global freedom, global choice, global power.
4 - Better than I Thought It Would Be? -15) Eventually, after investing some time following the reading regimen, I finished reading through The Creature from Jekyll Island - cover to cover, including the index. 16) The Creature from Jekyll Island concludes with a powerful plan - and warning. Griffin was bringing his analysis of the federal reserve bank and its relation to freedom to inform the reader of what appeared to be a quaking United States financial crisis. 17) Griffin advised the investment in gold and silver, the trading of US dollars for commodities, the preparation for martial law in the United States - perhaps even global martial law, and other quite serious precautions to preserve personal power and freedom during crisis. 18) Who is The Creature from Jekyll Island for? Well, interestingly, Griffin first published The Creature from Jekyll Island in 1994 and has reprinted this tome over twenty-four times since - updating with the passage current events, yet presenting a similar conclusion. The Creature is for anyone seeking to realign their plan of action in life - and particularly the steps they would take in the event of major global financial crisis. G. Edward Griffin - Presenting The Creature from Jekyll Island

19) The Creature from Jekyll Island is for anyone seeking to learn the inner workings and deep, historical foundation of the federal reserve bank. After all, the full title of The Creature from Jekyll Island is -The Creature from Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve.Since The Creature is goes deep into history and covers many topics, The Creature may not be effective for those seeking an analysis focused mainly on financial markets or Wall Street. 20) The Creature from Jekyll Island is for anyone seeking an extensive read. The Creature from Jekyll Island also features a summary preceding each chapter. I imagine you could read the summaries - which would simplify a 600-page book into a 60-page book - and gain an immensely useful base of knowledge for practical actions in your life.

5 - The Creature from Jekyll Island? -21) As previously mentioned, The Creature from Jekyll Island is a top seller and is widely popular. Although The Creature presents a deep analysis of rather controversial and fringe subjects, such as secrecy, ethics, and world government, The Creature from Jekyll Island - (1) has been featured on special podiums for best-sellers in Borders book store, (2) ranks highly in Amazon.com; (3) has well-known individuals such as Dr. Ron Paul, Willie Nelson, and Robert Kiyosaki on its back cover; and (4) Griffin has been a guest on the Fox News Channel. 22) I have found The Creature from Jekyll Island to be greatly useful as a resource when writing my book, Born to Die: Rising from the Explosion of the Global Financial Time Bomb and although I had not thought of this until now, I may have been inspired to write Born to Die significantly because of The Creature from Jekyll Island. 23) The Creature from Jekyll Island is worth a look, if only for the summaries, the entertainment, and the amount of valuable time, money, freedom, and power it could save you. 24) You can receive a link to a free video of G.
